Fabulous Friday :: Friday Phone Dump
** I wrote this post on Friday, June 19th, saved as a draft, and planned to finish the next day. Then our internet went out the next day and we didn't get it back for 5 full days! **
Y'all, it's been the kind of week where if I did not have random pictures on my phone, I wouldn't even remember what we did. Today was my last day as a SAHM for the next 8 weeks. That means I crammed a whole lot of stuff in. Thanks to Covid, not much of it was actually fun, though. I think our Summer Bucket List is going to be a crap shoot this year. At least, we won't be going to Chuck E. Cheese or Big Air anytime soon!
So, what did we do?
Well, for starters, we enjoyed the 60 degree weather! Jocelyn and I reserved tickets at the Greenville Zoo (I just remembered my pictures are all on my big camera, lol) and met some friends down there. We kept our social bubble small and stayed away from strangers. However, they were limiting capacity and lots of people wore masks, so I felt pretty comfortable.
We then ate outside at Tropical Grille, which is super yummy! Even Jocelyn liked the grilled chicken!
The next day, I agreed to a playdate with Jocelyn's friend James from school. This is the first time she's had a friend over since school shut down in March. They've been social distancing and didn't have any family members who were high risk, so we decided to let it happen. They had the BEST time and played for 4 hours straight.
So, I admitted on social media (and privately to a few friends) that I had a breakdown in Ingles a few weeks back because they were out of Kraft Singles. How do I know I'm getting better and more mentally healthy?? They were out AGAIN, but I didn't shed a single tear...
But, have no fear... Costco had me covered!
So, I decided to join the Summer Reading Challenge with my MOMS Club. We have to read a whole lotta books. Here's what I've read so far:
I obviously didn't fix a couple of the pics in my google account... whoops. You get the picture.
Jocelyn and I had a play date with her buddy James and his mom, Mary. After finding out that they had been social distancing and staying home and wearing masks, we agreed to have an indoor play date. Our first and so far, our only. For the most part, we are staying outside of our friends' houses just to be on the safe side.
My first zinnia bloom!
Look what my teenage boy did!! I'm so proud of him! He aced the written test with every question right!
Driving grandma's Kia for the first time was pretty scary, but practice makes perfect!
Friday nights are now "Dart Night" at my neighbor's house. We have so much fun!
We are still doing nightly walks with our neighbors.
I read another book, this one with a color in the title.
And then, bah bah bah... our modem dies. And life as we know it changes for 5 days.
And that brings us up to date for my next post about FADC!
