Spring Fling 2014
As if Music on Main wasn't enough sunshine, grass, music, food, and downtown for us, just two days later we were back for Spring Fling.
The absolute first thing the kids wanted to do was the zip line. In my opinion, $10 per kid was a frickin' rip off. Yet Brian had his wallet open before he could even listen to my opinion.
Jocelyn loved watching all the people come down.
Then she started running towards the line saying, "I do it, too!!! I big girl!" so Brian had to scoop her up.
Jaina said the only part that was scary was jumping/walking off the platform. Brian said if the kids chickened out, they'd owe him $10 plus interest :) Jayce loved it!
Brian was back with his tent and petition, so we had a place to sit in the shade to eat.
Mmmm... how I live for funnel cake. YUM! I'll be getting another one of these at Carowinds this Summer, too.
Brian's tent was by the Humane Society tent. Jocelyn kissed the dogs through the cages.
Then it was time to wait in ridiculously long lines for overpriced rides. Jocelyn pitched a total fit when Jayce went on a ride but I wouldn't let her on. The attendant said she was old enough, but I had to go, too. So we all went.
It was one of those rides that goes in circles while you spin your individual car as fast as you can go. I was worried about Jocelyn but the only one to have gotten motion sickness was me.
Then we watched Jayce go on the swings and then headed over to the carousel.
We had beautiful weather and couldn't have asked for better. Not too hot, cool breeze, blue skies. Perfection :)
