Last Day of Christmas Break

I'm sorry to report that I spent the day trying to find a doctor's office that was actually open. Who knew that the day after New Year's was also considered a holiday?

I finally trekked over to CVS and went to their Minute Clinic. I was mostly concerned about my sinus pressure and aching ears and the fact that my head feels like its going to explode. The Nurse Practitioner was concerned about my throat. She's 99% positive I have strep, despite the rapid test being negative. As soon as my cultured test comes back, she'll put me on an antibiotic. The reason she didn't go ahead and give me one is that I was *just* on one for my UTI/Kidney stones. I finished it 6 days ago. Instead, I got a decongestant nasal spray to use every 8 hours. Too bad it only worked on my congestion for about 60 minutes instead.

Jaina had the most fun out of all of us today. She and my mom ran all over town. They took down Christmas decorations at the preschool where my mom teaches. They went to Michael's craft store and bought some cardstock. They ate lunch at Ryan's (my daughter goes nuts over a buffet!) Steak House. Then they went back to my mom's house to craft the rest of the afternoon away.

As for Jayce and Brian?

They alternated the day with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on our Wii, watching TV on the couch, and playing Zelda on Jayce's DS. Do you see how Jayce is wearing his PJ's? This shot was taken at 4:00 PM this afternoon. I honestly can't remember the last time that boy had a bath or got dressed.

That's what vacation is for :)

Tomorrow we start back to the grind. Early bedtimes, dragging kids out of bed in the morning, making lunches, packing backpacks, carpool, ABA therapy, OT at the hospital, piano practice, basketball practice, etc.

I'm tired just thinking about it. I think I'm off to bed :)
