Our Trip in a Nut (Sea) Shell
You guys do know that when I neglect my blog, its for a good purpose, right?
This time, the purpose was THE BEACH VACATION.
What could be more important than that?
We had an amazing time. I could blog about it for days and I probably will! But since I'm dying to have a current post, here's a recap of our trip in a sea shell :)
By the way, we went to Pawley's Island, South Carolina. Its about 20 miles north of Georgetown and about 30 miles south of Myrtle Beach. It is THE only place Brian will consider taking us to the beach every year. He doesn't like change much. :)
Pawley's mantra is "Arrogantly Shabby" and you see this theme throughout the architecture of the island.
Pawley's residents boast that its the oldest seaside resort in America.
While we were there, our family didn't waste a minute of our time resting.
We went to the pool daily.
We played miniature golf.
We played in a live band (well, Jayce did.)
Jaina got a new pet.
We went to a wedding.
We ate ice cream.
We built a bear (and a dog).
I took an insane amount of photos of my kids.
Oh, and we went to the ocean, too.
Okay, I'm done! For now anyway :) Be prepared to re-live every single second of our trip through 600 pictures, k? Okay, okay, okay... I promise not to be that annoying. I promise to be concise and only talk about the highlights.
Until then....

Jessie, this post makes me want to kidnap you and take you on our family vacations. My pics never do our trips justice. Also your post just makes me plain want to go to Pawley's Island! It is nice and laid back there.
ReplyDeleteBy all means bring 'em on! We love Pawleys, our place is about 15 minutes from there.
ReplyDeleteI adore the picture of Jaina with the ropes in the background. Gosh her eyes are pretty!
We love build a bear too. Sam loves to build a dog. He's got a litter!
We aren't 15 minutes from there. Our place in Surfside is at the beginning of Garden City. I love Pawleys. It's the beach the way God intended it!
Jess, it looks like a fabulous vacation! So glad you had a great time--love the pics of the hermit crab and sunflower--and of course, the kids! ;-) You are seriously talented, girl!
