I Heart Faces: Play
Its Monday! And that means its time to participate in the weekly challenge over at I Heart Faces! Be sure to head on over and check out some of the fabulous entries!
The theme this week is "Play".
Well, chances are, if ya got a kid or two around your house, you have about a billion photos of your children playing dress up, legos, musical instruments, sports, swinging, or just having fun in the sprinklers. And since I have two kids, that means I must have two billion photos.
But instead of looking back through my archives to just plop any old picture in this post, I decided to get my camera out today with renewed interest. After speaking with some local photographers in my area this past Saturday at the I Heart Faces Photowalk, I've come to the conclusion that I don't take enough pictures. And I'm not going to improve my photography technique if I don't give myself more opportunity to learn.
So, I followed my kids around this afternoon while they played. I photographed Jayce on his favorite swing, Jaina practicing her piano, and the kids together on the climbing wall.
But this capture was my favorite:
It also could be alternately entitled "I Heart Faces: Torture Small Animal With Promise of Treat" but I'm pretty sure that won't ever be a weekly challenge theme.
I hope.
I feel the same way. I think with the new subjects they give us I can try something new. Way to go on finding something new to photograph, great photo!!

ReplyDeleteAw...cute shot! And we always torture pets to get them to do silly things, also. It's totally normal I think. ;)
